Coach Taylor

Volleywood Beach Academy is proud to introduce Coach Taylor. She was the head coach for the VOLLEYWOOD 14’s, Old City Volleyball 17s Select Indoor Team,  and prior to that coached multiple age and skill level players with the former St. Augustine Volleyball Association (SAVA) of which she also sat on the Board of Directors. She was an assistant coach for Flagler College under Taylor Mott for four seasons from 2003 – 2007.

As a player Coach Taylor committed to the sport of volleyball later than most of her peers as she was avid softball player from a young age and through much of high school. After being named Marion County Volleyball Player of the Year her Senior year of high school she was recruited to play for St. Johns River State College where she received All Conference and All Region honors as well as the Scholar Athlete Award and the Florida All Academic Team. She was selected to play in the State’s Junior College All-Star game where she was recruited to play as an Outside Hitter for Flagler College. Overall Coach Taylor has been involved in volleyball as a player and coach for 23 years. She continues to play recreationally and is looking forward to sharing her love for the game with her son and daughter.

She believes every team and every player is unique and should be coached that way. While her goal is to build strong, respectful, and resilient athletes who will thrive in difficult situations – she coaches to the individual and the team based on their needs. She believes as a coach it is her job to do everything she can to help her players grow, develop and succeed. Volleyball’s fundamental principles of teamwork, positivity, and accountability feed Coach Taylor’s love for the game!
