Coach Rachel

Volleywood Beach Academy is excited to introduce Coach Rachel Machovec as a part of our coaching staff. Ever since Rachel was a child, she was surrounded by volleyball. Having a mother as a coach and a sister to play with, volleyball became a part of her daily life. She discovered her passion for volleyball when she played for her high school’s varsity volleyball team and played for the local volleyball club, GA5 in Suwanee, Georgia. Rachel made first-team all county in Gwinnett County her sophomore and junior year. Rachel helped lead her high school team to the final four senior year where she was honored with making first team all-state. She currently plays in college for the Flagler College Volleyball team. As a college student, she majors in Business Administration and hopes to pursue coaching when she graduates. She is excited to start helping players at Volleywood Beach Academy elevate their game by sharing her passion and experience for indoor and beach volleyball.
