Coach Jared

Volleywood Beach Academy is proud to introduce Coach Jared. My volleyball experience started at youth group many years ago as a thirteen-year old at Covenant Life Assembly Church in Bradenton, Florida.  I entered several grass volleyball tournaments through our church and my brother and I won three, 4-man grass volleyball tournaments from the ages of 13-16 years old.  With our female teammates both of which went on to play Collegiate volleyball. Growing up by the New College in Sarasota Florida my brother and I would ride our bikes down to the courts and play the college kids from the age of 14-16.  When we were old enough to drive, we played beach volleyball everywhere there was a game from Siesta Key Beach to Coquina Beach and Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island.  When I was in High-School I played against the Manatee Community College Women’s Lancers volleyball team (now State College of Florida) at El Conquistador Village where they lived, and I started coaching some of them in Beach.

I played in men’s beach volleyball tournaments at Adventure Island Water Park in Tampa, FL and placed 2nd place.  I played in several local tournaments The Beach House restaurant on Bradenton Beach and won 1st place with my brother.  I started playing in East End Volleyball, Bud Light, Florida Beach Volleyball tournaments playing doubles men’s, coed’s, and 4-man tournaments and placed anywhere from 11th place to 3rd place.  I played on Bradenton Beach, Clearwater, Siesta Key, and Daytona Beach regularly at A and AA level.  I trained 5 days a week with professional athlete’s preparing them and myself for years as a player and friend to this close circle of athletes.

I played for the Atlanta Sports and Social Club at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Ga. and was undefeated with my coed partner till the season was ended due to Covid-19.  I worked at Phoenix Rising Volleyball Club as Director of Beach Volleyball and coached several tournaments at Rally in Lake Point East, Ga. leading 12U girls to 1st place and 15U took 3rd.  I ran and organized club tournaments coaching athletes to several 1st to 3rd place finishes.  My 14U indoor team placed 2nd place this last season and I was promoted to National team coach before moving to Ponte Vedra, FL.

I look forward to meeting all of you at Volleywood Beach Academy and bringing my expertise to contribute to the development of aspiring athletes.  I am a Liberty University Graduate of Rawlings School of Divinity and am a Bible and History teacher.
