Coach Grace
Volleywood Beach Academy is excited to introduce Coach Grace Hegland as a part of our coaching staff. Grace now plays as a middle blocker and right side hitter for Swarthmore college. Grace went to Carrboro High School where she was a three year varsity player with two state championships. Her sophomore year, she received the team award for sportsmanship and leadership, and her senior year, she received the award for offensive player of the year. Additionally, in 2018, Grace made the NC Volleyball Coaches Association Players to Watch List, the AVCA Phenom list, and the all conference team. In 2019, Grace made the all conference and all region teams. Grace played club volleyball for five years at Triangle Volleyball, NC Academy Volleyball, and Carolina Edge Volleyball.
