Coach Barb

Volleywood Beach Academy is proud to introduce Coach B. Barbara Benzenberg grew up in St. Augustine where she always enjoyed playing beach volleyball at the pier courts and further decided to take her passion indoor. She started playing volleyball for her high school volleyball team at Pedro Menendez. Coach B continued her volleyball journey, playing club at St. Augustine Volleyball Association (SAVA) for a year and then the next couple years at Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association (JJVA). Barbara played for the 16’s national team at JJVA playing all over Florida, Denver, Dallas, and more. She had the opportunity to play over seas in Germany, Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. Barbara attended Florida State University where she continued to play club ball. Later, she attended University of Miami to pursue a passion in nursing. She is now ready to work as a nurse and continue with her passion in volleyball helping the athletes of VBA elevate their game.
